Dr. Pradeep Srivastava is Professor in the Department of Earth Sciences at IIT Roorkee and a leading expert in Quaternary Geology, sedimentology, geomorphology, paleoclimate, and neotectonics. His research focuses on the evolution of river systems and landscapes across the Himalaya and arid regions, with significant contributions to paleoseismology, luminescence dating, and Himalayan geomorphology. He has led several major government-funded research projects, published over 90 peer-reviewed papers, and collaborates extensively with national and international research institutions. A Fellow of the Indian National Science Academy (2023), he has received numerous prestigious honours, including the National Geoscience Award (2011), the Anni Talwani Gold Medal, the M.S. Krishnan Gold Medal, the S.S. Merh Award, and the G.K. Gilbert Award (USA). He also serves on the editorial boards of leading geoscience journals and several national and international scientific committees.
